On 3.250 hectares there have been planted teak trees which are now between 3 to 13 years old. The final harvest could be expected between the year 2011 and 2019. A yield of about 740.000 teak trees of 25 years. Because of mis-management, the original corporation, owner of this project, encountered a financial crisis and liquidity problems. A group of Dutch investers acquired the option to purchase a substantial part of the outstanding share capital of both the plantation and processing plant. They resolved the liquidity problems and replaced the management by the end of 1997. The assets of the company are valuated at US$ 25 million by KPMG auditors and a conservative evaluation of the plantations could be calculated at a present value of US $ 65 million. The Dutch company who is raising the capital for the take over of at least 32% of the interest in this project has the objective to restore the value of the project in two or three years. It is anticipated that in the year 2000 there will be a positive cash flow. After the turnaround this Dutch company will be IPO with a listing on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. As investor you will then have t investment into cash. The actual price for teakwood shares in the Netherlands and else offered varies now between US$ 15.000 - 50.000 for a share equal to one hectare of teakwood trees just planted up to 10 years old. Potential investors who like to participate in this plan are offered an investment at a price of US$ 10.000,- which equals one hectare of the plantation. The Dutch company will issue a share capital of US$ 15 million thru a placement of 300.000 shares of nominal $5 at a price of 100.
