DETAILED PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Supply and installation of one paediatric chemistry analyzer system for the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory of Queen Mary Hospital. B. PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL DATA: Tenders are requested for the supply, delivery and installation of one complete, high throughput discrete, selective, paediatric clinical chemistry system consisting of at least two identical analyzer units, with stand-alone and random access capabilities. This system must be user-friendly, with small sample volume requirement suitable for neonates and premature babies. The system should be capable of performing analyses on blood obtained by capillary puncture or heel prick. In addition, a supplementary module with multiple analyzer capacity for paediatric endocrine tests is highly desirable. Each analyzer unit shall be equipped with an independent on-line uninterruptable power supply. The supplier is required to provide, at no additional cost, enough reagents (minimum: 100 tests each), calibrators, controls and consumables for the analyses listed under the Test Menu for method evaluation and comparison studies. The supplier shall also supply one hard copy of the service manual and two hard copies of the operation manual. The service manual shall be complete with all relevant circuit diagrams, exploded view diagrams, servicing instructions, and a full parts list. If Tenderers are unable to meet this delivery and installation requirement, they must clearly specify in the Tender an alternative delivery date for consideration. Successfuly Tenderer will be responsible for the installation of the equipment offered. Tenderers are therefore requested to state clearly in the Tender schedule the date of completion of installation. For the purpose of this Contract, the goods shall be subject to an acceptance test after delivery and installation. Such test is to be carried out by the Government representative. The acceptance test will normally be conducted within six to eight weeks after delivery and installation of the goods. The date of acceptance of the goods shall be determined by the Government based upon the satisfactory completion of such acceptance test.
